Web site features information on Sterling Hall bombing
to mark 30th Anniversary
MIDDLETON -- Thursday, August 24, 2000 marks the 30th anniversary of the bombing of Sterling Hall at the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison.
People who want to know more about this historical event can find information at www.leemark.com/sterlinghall, sponsored by Leemark Communications.
The Web page features facts about the bombing, photos of where the van carrying explosives drove up to the building, and a photo showing the different colored brick that today marks the effects of the blast. There is also a list of additional sources of information about the bombing and the unrest in Madison during the Vietnam War.
The Web page was produced by Leemark Communications owner Christopher Lee, who researched the bombing and produced a documentary about it as his master's project for the graduate journalism program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The 27-minute video, called "The Bombing of Sterling Hall," was broadcast statewide by Wisconsin Public Television on March 26, 1999.
Leemark Communications designs and hosts Web sites, produces videos and offers computer consulting.
